Ampersand is a psychology and psychotherapy practice. We believe in psychotherapy as a way of creating an environment that helps the development of each person through the process of speaking with the professional. Each person is different and it is precisely for that reason that we work on detail, adjusting to each patient’s need.
Our way of thinking is that since each person is different, each psychotherapy will be as well. It is necessary to have a personal and comfortable environment and at the same time a high professional preparation to cope with the complexity of our work.

As parents, worrying about our children’s future is always present. Wanting them to be able to grow and be independent as adults es something that comes with being a parent. How to help them grow acquiring the internal tools needed to face life’s problems?
The way we see therapy is in this direction. We believe in working with children so that they can begin knowing and understanding themselves to learn to face the different situations they will find in their lives. Self-knowledge, at every age, is a basic tool that we usually take for granted but nevertheless is an ability that we have to learn. Handle frustration, problem solving, handle stress and anxiety, sadness, deceptions and happiness. These are some everyday situations that adults have and if we learn since we are children to know ourselves, we will be able to handle them in a better way as adults.
Nowadays, the concept “Emotional intelligence” is a trending topic. Our view is for children to learn the ability of knowing themselves.
We are psychologists with education on different institutions and different methods. We have worked on several sanitary and clinical places, schools and institutions. We are active with research projects and study groups, as well as going to several congresses each year.
Our principal concern is being able to help our patients in the best way we can, in an environment of confidentiality and respect.
